“ I called Secure Horizons today to verify that they had received my claim and when I called they asked when the claim was submitted, which I thought odd as they had never asked before, I then told them it has been submitted 20 days before the date that I was calling. The rep then explained that per their new workload they are not to give out status on claims before 30 working days. I explained that per Title 28 CCR 1300.71 (C)(1)(2) that they are required to provide/verify that the claim was received within 2-15 days and it has been over that time. She then put me on hold for a long while came back and asked for my supervisor information and said that her supervisor would be contacting my supervisor. I explained that was fine, but I still need confirmation that the claim was received. Reluctantly she gave me the date of receipt and claim number.
Thanks to your recent seminar their sad attempt to withhold information was thwarted. I'm sure had they not given me the received date in 30 working days the claim would have magically gotten lost in the mail. Thanks again."
